Leyton Orient have announced which players will leave the club this summer when their contracts expire and which players have had their deals extended.
Of the nine players whose contracts were set to expire on the 30th June only one will have their contract extended.
Nicky Hunt signed a contract until the end of the season when he joined the club in February but his contract included the option of a one-year extension which has been activated, keeping him at the club until June 2017.
Connor Essam, Frazer Shaw and Blair Turgott all joined the club last summer under Ian Hendon but they have not secured new contracts with the O’s.
Bradley Pritchard‘s two-year stay with Orient will also come to an end this summer as he has not been offered a new deal.
Gary Woods also joined the club in the summer of 2014 but he spent last season on loan at Ross County and his departure will come as no surprise.
Experienced midfielder Jobi McAnuff will be leaving when his contract expires. The 34 year-old was frozen out for much of the first half of the season but he made a significant contribution after returning to action in November before his season was cut short by a calf injury.
Lloyd James and Mathieu Baudry will not be at the club next season either. The duo were among Orient’s longest serving players in the squad (after Dean Cox), with both having joined the club in the summer of 2012.
James played 138 games for the O’s, scoring 11 goals during his four seasons with the O’s. However, his last two campaigns have been disrupted by injuries, he suffered a broken leg in 2014/15 and this term he had a significant spell on the sidelines with a Achilles injury.
Baudry made 157 appearances for Orient, scoring ten goals. He was handed the captaincy at the start of the 2015/16 season. He was offered a new contract during the campaign but he has opted to leave the club when his contract expires at the end of June.
Blimmin ‘eck! And what with our Babs leaving Eastenders too . . .

Okay lets give some of our promising youngsters a chance, shame though about letting Jobi and Mathieu go ,they could have been excellent mentors for our up and coming young stars. Also Jobi with all his experience would have made a good Captain.
