Armand Gnanduillet has a move to Blackpool on a permanent deal. The 24-year-old French striker has signed a two-year contract with the League Two side. It unclear whether Blackpool have paid a fee for the striker or whether he has been allowed to leave the club on a free transfer.
Gnanduillet joined the O’s from Chesterfield for an undisclosed fee in January. He went on to make 18 appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals. His first goal for the club came in a 3-1 defeat against Cambridge United but he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Crawley, the first of which was a fine long-range strike. His last goal for the club was the winner against Dagenham & Redbridge back in April.
However, Gnanduillet had not been in Andy Hessenthaler’s plans, having made just one substitute appearance which came on the opening day of the season. The arrival of Jordan Bowery and Paul McCallum’s return to fitness has seen Gnanduillet move down the pecking order to become fifth choice striker.
Gnanduillet’s departure could signal that Jay Simpson is set to stay at Leyton Orient.
